Parents Welcome
We want you to be proud of your son's fraternity. As you read about us on our web site, we hope you will say, "I'm glad my son is a member of Alpha Gamma Rho."
Alpha Gamma Rho members would not be the outstanding men they are today if it wasn't for the excellent parenting that brought them to this point. That's why it's important to stay involved in your son's choices and experiences and give him the encouragement you've already given. Alpha Gamma Rho values the input and the involvement by you, our Alpha Gamma Rho parents.
Alpha Gamma Rho has undertaken a serious approach to fraternity life today with the Brotherhood Program, designed "to strengthen the individual, the Fraternity and the host academic institution through a lifelong commitment to intellectual excellence, high standards of moral conduct and responsible citizenship."
With the numerous leadership opportunities available to your son, it is no wonder that fraternity members tend to graduate from college at a higher rate than those men not involved in fraternities.
We invite you to become involved with your son as he and his Alpha Gamma Rho brothers strive to live up the Alpha Gamma Rho principles. The Parents Club is one way to support your son in his collegiate endeavors. The Parents Club keeps parents/guardians of undergraduate members involved and informed regarding Alpha Gamma Rho activities and projects. We invite you, as a parent/guardian to become a part of your student's Alpha Gamma Rho experience.
Also, the Educational Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho offers annual scholarships and numerous Alpha Gamma Rho brothers and friends donated to our essential educational and leadership programs this past year, all of which were created to enhance the undergraduate experience.
If you have any questions concerning your son's chapter, please call the Alpha Gamma Rho Administrative Office at 816-891-9200, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The Administrative Office is interested in hearing from you, and please contact us with suggestions of items you would like to see made available on this parents page.
Parents Club
When you son joins Alpha Gamma Rho, we would like to encourage you to become an active participant in the Parents Club. This is an organization formed to support the men of Alpha Gamma Rho and the House Mother while they are living on campus.
Your involvement allows you to support your son and all Alpha Gamma Rho members as they strive to become campus leaders today and national leaders tomorrow. The Club has one goal; to support the men of Alpha Gamma Rho in their academics, campus life and leadership development. Participating with other parents is a great way to share in your son's excitement, successes and know about his "campus family". The Parent Club gives a front row seat to watching your son as he develops the character and skills that will lead him into adulthood.
Parental involvement compliments the college experience. Don't hesitate to get involved and take part in activities and projects throughout the year. You will find that as your son is meeting peers from all over the world, so will you. Parents report on a regular basis that they cherish the friends they made while visiting the campus and working with other parents
Your support during the college years is one of the most valuable gifts you can give your son. Your connection to and support of AGR offers opportunities to strengthen the ties you have with your son and make a difference in your sons academic success.
We want you to be a part of this great fraternity.
